Think Big. Work Hard.
Ethical
Eight years of working in healthcare has exposed me to many situations where I have had to hold myself to a higher ethical standard most. I take pride in knowing that I can do my job and do it well while adhering to a code of ethics. We live in a world where things are always changing, and while I remain open-minded and respectful, I will always hold myself to that higher standard.
I believe that when we put the work in that there will be no need for shortcuts or manipulation.
Teachable
Willingness to learn is something I require out of my team. I am personally always pursuing higher education through schooling, on-the-job training, and even through life experiences. If we stop learning we stop growing and that is something that terrifies me.
The truest leaders know that there is something to learn from every single person we meet despite their level of education.
Reliable
Trust is built through consistency. The setting is irrelevant. All successful relationships have one thing in common...trust. Business relationships/partnerships are no different.
My fellow employees, as well as the people I am surrounded by in my personal life, can attest to the fact that I am nothing if not reliable.
ABOUT ME
Thank you for stopping by my site, and for your interest in me, what I do and what where I want to go. First off, let me introduce myself, you can call me Andy and I currently live in Indianapolis Indiana but I am originally from Chicago. Once I finished high school, I moved to Indianapolis to find work. After working a few labor-intensive jobs, I quickly realized that what I was doing was not going to afford me the career I aspired to have.
I joined the United States Air Force as a Medic in 2010 to broaden my possibilities for growth and education while doing something that was making a difference. I was stationed across the country from everything I had ever known, but I was determined to succeed. The Air Force exposed me to new people who swiftly became my mentors and I really admired that were doing great things for themselves, others, and for our country. I was inspired by how their drive and education earned them respect by so many, and by how they had a different kind of confidence about them. I wanted that for myself, so for the first time in my life, I looked into going to college. I took full-time classes while training and working full time in the Air Force alongside my duties as a husband and new father. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management, transferred to the Air National Guard and moved back to Indianapolis.
I still felt the desire to continue my education so I decided to pursue my Master's Degree. I was recently awarded my MBA while working full-time at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, serving part-time in the Air National Guard, and welcoming our second child into the world. I am now looking to put all of my knowledge and experience to use to truly be an asset to a company I can be proud to be a part of. One day, I hope to get my Ph.D. and continue to grow in the company that supports me.
