Medical Support Assistant 

 

  • Held team meetings to manage and plan patient care regarding Telehealth,

       Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), and other off-site VA facilities

 

  • Proficient in VistA/CPRS (Electronic Health Record) to extract a variety of

       information as well as inputting updated information. The system is used to record all
       patients movements after admission to the hospital.

 

  • Responsible for the implementation and management of program objectives and goals

       identified by Telehealth management

 

  • Serves as the first point of contact for staff, assists them in resolving problems and

       referring the problem to the appropriate departments when necessary

 

  • Set priorities and deadlines; adjusted the flow and sequencing of tasks to meet team and

       maintenance of 98% combat readiness and ranking of #2 in Air Combat Command

 

  • Oversaw the clinic realignment, as well as the organization and transfer of

       $360K worth of equipment, 45 staff, and 9 offices

 

  • Played an instrumental part in surpassing Air Force standard by 8% and attaining #1

       customer service through the provision of assistance to 10,000 beneficiaries and 960
       appointments for the $2M clinic

 

  • Streamlined EMS to ER handoff through the creation of a new EMS run sheet

 

  • Supervised 17 personnel while managing a $127K budget

 

  • Acted as ambulance crew chief: responsible for emergency response for 3,600 personnel

       and 20 in-flight emergencies while maintaining full operations with 47% manning

 

  • Offered emergency medical care support to more than 11,500 Urgent Care Clinic

       encounters annually
